The latest album by Latin Company is an irresistible Periodic Musical Instrument Ensemble based in Berlin, which takes us to a musical winter journey to brighten up the coming winter season. 24 pieces that were popular from the 16th to the 17th centuries are brought together by new arrangements, including motto by German Renaissance and key composers such as Pretrouus, Schutz and Shine, as well as a well-known ambient lover. All of the artwork featured reflects different aspects of the winter including warmth, winter nature, Christmas joy, lonely, and the longing for spring. The song "Oh, the severe winter, what cold was" expresses the severe of the season, but the chant's "Welcome Infant Jesus" and Schutz's "Be Born a Child" tells the joy of winter. For this recording, Latten Company is a voice solist that celebrates Hannah Hair Full Toner (Soprano), Derphit Aeller (Counter Tener), Stefan Sherpe (Tenol), and Yako Aarles (Bas) to represent the rigors and fun of winter.
